Kickstarter: Big Giant Circles — The Glory Days

Jimmy Hinson aka Big Giant Circles, one of the composers from such famous titles as Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and Mass Effect 2, and the author of Impostor Nostalgia and Big Giant Christmas EP is running a Kickstarter campaign for his upcoming album The Glory Days.

As Jimmy explains, "The Glory Days, as the name suggests is a 2-way perspective of game music and life. Naturally, the first part is reflecting back on those days where my daily worries consisted of getting past the boss on level 4 or collecting enough coins or beating the game with a record number of extra lives. And as I relive those Glory Days, I remember that back then I used to sit and fantasize about what life would be like in 10 or 20 years.

I'd think of all the amazing things games and music would one day offer. I used to fantasize about how awesome Super Mario Kart would be if only it had hills instead of a flat track, or what kind of amazing sounds would exist as technology improved. And that made me realize, the Glory Days weren't just yesterday, they're all the time — we're in them now! We were in them yesterday! We were in them 20 years ago! And THAT is what this album is about."

The Glory Days will consist of 20 tracks containing ~80 minutes of music (regarding the maximum length the CD can allow). Additionally, an expanded version is planned, featuring a number of cooperative works.

The campaign will be live until Thursday Oct 24, 12:00 AM EDT.
